Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park, is one of the best bird sanctuaries on the earth and provides protection for several faunal species. The name Keoladeo originates from an ancient Hindu temple to Lord Shiva that still stands as the park’s major attraction. “Ghana” means thick, referring to the region’s former heavy forest cover.

Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, and Boar inhabit here sanctuary together with native water-feathered creatures, as well as temporary water-flying creatures and waterside winged creatures. While much of India’s parkland has been created from the hunting problem of royal India, Keoladeo, also known as Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary, is arguably the only location where a maharaja has created the environment. To protect the town from this yearly concept of nature, the Ajan Dam was constructed around 1760. After the grief caused by the excavation of earth for the dam was cleaned, Bharatpur Lake was created. Even though the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is open all year round, August through November is the greatest time to visit to see the resident species, and October through February is when migrating birds can be seen.

Lohagarh Fort: One of Rajasthan’s unique structural wonders is the 18th-century Lohagarh Fort, constructed by the Jat king Maharaja Suraj Mal.
