Seven Districts of Uttarakhand are Under Red Alert Due To Heavy Rainfall Overnight: IMD

In seven Uttarakhand districts, the India Meteorological Department issued a red alert due to an exceptionally heavy rainy spell. The meteorological service has issued a warning, stating that there is a high probability of heavy rain falling in these districts during the next 24 hours. Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Haridwar, Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri Garhwal, and Tehri Garhwal are few of these districts.

“Heavy rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning, intense to very intense spell of rain likely to occur at isolated places in remaining districts of Uttarakhand,” the weather department said, issuing a yellow advisory for the remaining districts.
