July 15, 2024On Wednesday, the Badrinath Yatra in Uttarakhand continued to be disrupted for a second day. Two locations along the Badrinath National Highway in the Chamoli area are closed, according to an All India Radio correspondent.
Following a significant landslide at the Patal Ganga Langsi Tunnel on the Badrinath National Highway in the Chamoli district, traffic is currently halted. A landslide near Joshimath earlier this morning obstructed the Badrinath National Highway, which led to the suspension of the Badrinath Yatra. The authorities and police are stopping pilgrims at secure locations. In the meantime, strong rains are expected in many areas of the state in the upcoming days, according to the Meteorological Department.
